We are really going to need some help or a sponsor with this older lady.- Imma. The young man is doing everything he can to come out of a bad situation he can only do so much and so can we, but we could not let her be put to sleep. We know what's wrong with her skin and are already making the changes needed. She does have a lot of neurotic tendencies too. You could tell that she was more than likely over bred and that's not the young man's fault as her 2nd owner as she was basically another throw away situation . Definitely not by this young man's hands. My husband felt the need to reach out and he wants no praise just understanding and help. This isn't a 1st rodeo with a German shepherd, we have 3 others currently and have had others before our current ones.
My husband has a way with animals that most people don't understand, especially with dogs and he was a throw away too. He always uses the Chris Farley skit -"I'll live in a van down by the river." before he would give this up and unfortunately it seems that some people around us want that for us. Although my husband doesn't believe in any deity, say a prayer for him. Anyone who knows my husband knows his energy, humor and willingness to give, with not asking anything in return. Due to some legal reasons, we have to be mindful of what we say, because people accused my husband of something and he's ready to fight back and I'm right here with him. We don't want to limit our love of helping animals, but the fact we had the car out of our possession for 8 months, has but a big hurting on our recourses.
