The Village office will be closed on Monday May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. Garbage pickup will be Tuesday morning and recycling will be picked up Saturday morning.

Town of Newark Valley Annual Spring Clean-Up Days!

April 30th-May 2, 2026.

April 30th (Thursday) : curbside pickup for 65+ and disabled residents. Call the Highway Department at 642-9927 for details.

May 1 and 2 (Friday & Saturday) Residents may bring items to dumpsters at the Town Hall, 109 Whig Street. The dumpsters are located at the back of the property. Details are available by calling the Highway Department at 642-9927.

Brush pick-up will begin tomorrow, Tuesday April, 2026. We ask that you bag your leaves in bio-degradable bags, or leave them on tarps to be dumped. Please place them on the edge of your lawns before 6:00 AM, not in the ditches, and the village crews will pick them up. No plastic bags of any type are to be used. Brush is to be no larger than 6″ in diameter and no longer than 4' in length. Happy spring everyone! 🌳🪵🍂

Just a reminder that we are holding a special meeting tonight at 6:30 in the Noble room at 9 Park St, Newark Valley. We will be evaluating a potential partnership with the school district to offer an after-school program for students. This public meeting is to share details, answer questions, and hear directly from residents before moving forward. We encourage all interested community members to attend.
