Hello all,

As we have tried to reach out to residents in a timely manner for a variety of reasons lately, we have found quite a few phone numbers and email addresses are outdated or incorrect. Please update them with us via email at [email protected], by phone at 607-642-8686, by mail, or stop in. We most recently had this issue while trying to contact residents about upcoming paving on Smullen Ave. and Cook St. We were just notified by our vendor that all of Smullen Ave. and Cook St. will be milled Thursday 8/27, beginning first thing in the morning and will be paved Friday 8/28. The roads will not be closed, but delays are expected. Thank you for your help and understanding.

We have an updated list of road closures for Summerfest on July 25th. Please plan accordingly.

Park St closed from noon until the end of event.
Water St. to Whig St closed 8AM- end of event.
Whig St. from Water St. to Depot St. 8 AM- end of event.
Depot St from Whig St. to the train tracks from 8 AM-end of event.

Just a reminder with Summerfest this weekend!

Hello all,

The Village of Newark Valley is working with the Tioga United Way in an effort to honor Newark Valley Veterans. The Tioga United Way is taking applications for Hometown Heroes Banners honoring those who resided in Newark Valley and served in the armed forces. Special placement cannot be requested and banners will be hung for at least two years. If you would like to apply there are various ways to submit the application. One way is to drop it off at the Village Office and we will send it to the the Tioga United Way. If you are interested and would like to learn more please follow the link below for more information.

The Village office will be closed on Friday July 3rd in observance of Independence Day on July 4th. Recycling will still be collected on Friday July 3rd. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
