As we prepare for a new school year, we’re excited to bring families together for an evening of fun, community, and free resources. Join us on Monday, August 31st, from 5:00–10:00 p.m. at Monte Irvin Park in Orange for free book bags while supplies last, school supplies, BBQ, refreshments, a family movie featuring Elio, games, prizes, and more. We look forward to seeing you there and wishing all of our students a safe, successful school year!

The future is bright! The Essex County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of Sheriff Amir D. Jones, extends our sincere thanks to our outstanding summer interns, Mia Moss and Tanasia Campbell, as they return to Delaware State University, and Morgan State University. Throughout their time with our office, they demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a genuine willingness to learn. Their contributions have been greatly appreciated, and they have been a valued part of our team.

We wish Mia and Tanasia continued success in their academic journeys and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future. Thank you for spending your summer with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office—we are proud to have been a part of your journey!

Tonight, our Sheriff’s Officers and staff were proud to join residents, families, and community partners across Essex County in celebrating National Night Out. Events like these strengthen the relationships that help build safer neighborhoods, foster trust, and bring our communities together.
