Last night the ladies auxiliary and our special guest, Chief James Edgemon, had a casual appreciation dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We had a wonderful dinner and great fun.

Award were presented to Tracey Tricomi for Memeber of the Year for all her hard work. Tracey joined the auxiliary as a junior member and has stayed with us for several years. Sadly, she is stepping down because she and her husband have purchased a home outside of our county.

Also Mrs. Sherry Edgemon was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her hard work and dedication over the past 58 years and creativity for Cruisin Days. She has been a member of the auxiliary since 1965 and she is appreciated and loved by many. Thank you Sherry for everything you have done for the Newark Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary.

Help us spread the word...Newark FD will parade Santa through the Streets and Neighborhoods of the NFD fire district on Monday and Tuesday nights! See the attached flyer to see when Santa will be in your area 🎅🚒

Santa Clause is coming to town...

Newark Fire Department will be parading Santa around on 2 separate days.
Monday night at 6pm starting with Chisholm Springs Edition and then moving to Newark Ranch and Meadowlands circle at 7pm.
Tuesday starting a 6pm, we will make our way down all the city streets and county roads in the Newark area. And 7:30 he will arrive to the Aurora Vista neighborhood.

The Ladies Auxilliary has been working on a fun and safe Cruisin Days for October. Our top priority is the to keep our community safe during this pandemic. With the increasing spread of COVID in our surrounding counties and after exhausting all scenarios and discussion with our Chief, it is with sadness that we have decided to cancel this year.

We are disappointed that we had to come to this decision. We simply are not willing to compromise the safety and health of our community during these uncertain times. We will continue to work to make next years Cruisin Days one of the best.
