PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF METRO NJ VISITS AD HOUSE

The Education Department of Planned Parenthood operates TEEN L.I.N.K.S. (Leaders Impacting Neighbors with Knowledge on Sexuality).



TEEN L.I.N.K.S. visited AD House to perform scenes regarding adolescent issues. These issues included information on teen pressures and problems of adolescents; they also gave accurate information about sexual health and provided resources in the community. Afterward, they facilitated a question and answer session about the material presented in the scenes.

It is our pleasure to reopen the computer lab at the AD House. AD House proudly provides 7 computers with desk spaces that will be an added value in supporting the programs of AD House. In our after school program, students can use the new technology to facilitiate their Life Skills Training. In addition, computer classes will be given so students can be equipped with the basic skills in using computers. Each computer will have access to the internet and will provide an opportunity to develop the students Microsoft Office skills using the latest software. The computers were donated to AD House by Prudential and a volunteer from Jersey Cares provided additional refurbishing of the equipment. Both organizations are based in Newark, New Jersey.

My summer at the AD House was beautiful. It was beautiful because we went on trips, did activities in the AD House and had fun and educational sessions. I also made new friends.
