The immunization Plus Program targets the vulnerable trasnsient and poor populations of Newark. The goal is to increase the immunization rate among infants residing in the target areas. Mothers with infants needing immunization are given referrals to the Newark Health Department. (HOURS 9am to 5pm)
P.L.E.A.S.E PREVENTION AFTER SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAM
The P.L.E.A.S.E program has served as a safe haven for the students and provides a solid foundation for them to continue their education. The after school program provides activities to help DYFS-referred adolescents ages 13-18 improve their self-confidence, self-control and establish trust in adults. The After School program meets Monday - Thursday from 3pm to 7pm and includes a healthy meal for all students. Weekly schedules consists of two days of counseling programs that teach self-help to adolescents and two day field trips are provided. Breakfast and luch are served every-day. Transportation is also provided. (9am to 3pm)
