Located in the heart of Newark, we are a growing community of learners, teachers and staff all working to support People's Prep's core values of Intellect, Empathy and Action. People's Prep currently serves grades 9-12. Students arrive at People's Prep from a wide range of educational backgrounds. In order to level the playing field and allow our students to succeed at a level with those who've had more educational opportunities, People's Prep provides a rigorous curriculum and extended school-day and school-year calendar. Simply put, we've got to give more to get more. All students complete a college-preparatory curriculum, including classes in Physics, Civics, Spanish, Mathematics and English Language Arts. Our students not only develop academic skills, but also nurture a love of learning, through programs like our daily, school-wide Independent Reading sessions.
