Jen is an effective and proven leader, dedicated to the community, and a responsive and engaged communicator. She has been a Newark resident for 16 years and is an active member of the community. Jen moved to Newark in 2000 when she and her husband decided Newark was the perfect place to settle down and raise their daughter. They appreciate the small-town feel and sense of community that Newark pr

ovides. Jen received her BA in History from Delaware State University in 1998. She has a background in nonprofits and has worked as the Assistant Archivist for the University of Delaware, a reference specialist for the New Castle County Public Libraries, and as the Communications Coordinator for the Delaware Historical Society. Currently, she works as a freelance writer and communications consultant. She served as a board member of the Delaware Hour Exchange, the Chair and Communications Chair of the Executive Committee of the Delaware Chapter of the Sierra Club, on the Communications Committee for Wilmington in Transition, as the Chair of the Newark Residents Against the Power Plant, and as a volunteer for other organizations. Jen plans on bringing a proactive approach to City Council.
