Recreation & Leisure Activities

On-Site (35 Gainor Ave.) examples to include but not limited to: Gardening, Crafting, Games, Movies, Training sessions...such as..Cooking, Money Skills, Health & Safety, Basic First Aid, Healthy Relationships and many more. Off-Site examples to include but not limited to: Fishing, Ball games, Putt-Putt, Bowling, Walking, Outdoor games, Dining out, Picnics, Museums, Boat rides, Gardening, and many more. Larger activities can include but not limited to, COSI, the Columbus Zoo, Columbus Clippers, the Wildes, Theater productions, Dayton Airforce Museum & many more. With our skills, our passion and dedication we are excited to provide these services in Licking County!!

Next Thursday will be a BUSY day at the LCBDD Family Resource Center as our Licking County DSP Employment Connections program welcomes some of the provider agencies who support people in Licking County. Come learn more about the important work they do, play games and win prizes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 13 at the Hartford Fair! Our Family Resource Center is between the Commerce and Arts and Crafts buildings, near the Centerburg food stand. We can't wait to see everyone!

'Giving Smiles to the Community’ is the name of a new group within Gathering Place of Licking County. They are on a mission to spread kindness and warmth, aiming to spread smiles to individuals, community agencies or groups through heartwarming acts of generosity. In the pictures below the group prepared 2 dozen packaged ingredients needed to make a special cake for their special someone. Some members of the group then took these prepared packages and donated to the food pantry to be distributed.
