General information

We have a portfolio of 44 public housing communities with a total of over 8,000 rental units scattered throughout the City of Newark. NHA also administers up to 4,000 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8) within the city limits. A unique aspect of the Newark Housing Authority is that the agency also serves as a redevelopment authority and uses that power to enhance the renaissance of Newark. As a redevelopment authority, the NHA has a stake in the creation and maintenance of safe, livable neighborhoods and the expansion of economic opportunities in their communities. NHA shares with the City of Newark the vision of Newark being a thriving, diverse community with healthy neighborhoods and quality housing. We invite you to learn more about us: who we are, what we do, and how you can become a partner in our efforts to serve all the residents of Newark.

Does anybody up here know a Mr. Cherry? He illegally denied me for housing back in August of 2016 when I was 8 months pregnant with my child and not one lawyer would take my case.
So I finally know the full name of the person who illegally denied me for housing back in June of 2016 when I was 8 months pregnant. David Cherry and Newark Housing Authority be prepared. I'm putting up a fight. I will be meeting with lawyers soon since I have to fight this battle on my own after being on the housing and section 8 list for over 6 years.
Since nobody wants to do their job from y'all to the headquarters at raymond blvd now I'm suing. 6 years and 7 months I've been waiting and I was illegally denied housing when I was 8 months pregnant and should have gotten my section 8 I was told. I already spoke with legal aid now all I need is a good lawyer.
