Jacobs' Manor

Jacobs' Manor Jacobs' Manor, home of fine spirits, Natural and Supernatural... This house was once the center of a 1000 acre cattle farm.

Originally the Churchman House built in 1856 by Henry Churchman himself of whom the area is named. The Churchman family resided here until 1938 when the last daughter died. Although eligible for the Historic Record, it has never been added. The Jacobs family are now the caretakers of this beautiful piece of Delaware history.

Another year, another wall restoration. The front and back walls on this end had to be pinned back to the side walls with rebar drilled and epoxied into the walls. The 3rd floor window needed extensive repair to the top framing and side trim as well as the sill. All sealed up and hope to not revisit this side for a few years!

Masonry, paint, windows and shutters all ✔️For this wall anyway.

While not the largest seed nor most bountiful harvest, I am proud of my pecan tree for producing what it did. Maybe next year it'll have a chance to cross pollinate with the younger one.

One of the pecan trees is producing! Albeit, only 8 nuts... Hopefully next year the other will join in!
