Check out the City of Newark’s 2026 Residential Lawn Equipment Electrification Rebate Program, where eligible Newark residential electric customers can receive up to $300 in total rebates toward new battery electric lawn equipment when trading in qualifying gasoline-powered equipment.

The program runs through December 31 or until rebate funding runs out, so don’t delay!

If your property taxes are escrowed through your mortgage company, the tax bill you received from the City of Newark is for informational purposes only. You do not need to make a separate payment; the mortgage company will pay the bill from your escrow account.

Not sure if you escrow? Check with your mortgage company.

If you do not escrow your taxes, you are responsible for paying your bill by the due date.

Newark is developing a Climate Action Plan to identify practical strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while preparing our community for the current and future impacts of climate change. The plan will look at opportunities such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, tree canopy and carbon sequestration, and strategies to make Newark more resilient.

But we need your input! Your voice will help shape the priorities and actions included in the plan.
