Today we had the privilege to walk beside fellow law enforcement officers, athletes, and community members during the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. This event represents courage, perseverance, and the power of community, while raising awareness and funds to support Special Olympics programs. Thank you for the opportunity to support such incredible athletes whose determination and spirit inspire us all.

Reminder that the Light Licking County Blue Caravan begins at 6pm this evening!

This Friday May 8th, Licking County Law Enforcement Agencies will be participating in a caravan that travels through the county. Several police vehicles will be in the caravan which may cause short delays as we travel through. Please come out and show your support as we honor our fallen officers.

BOLO / WANTED ALERT

A male prisoner has fled from deputies while being transported from the Licking County Municipal Building.

Suspect: Calvin Jenkins
Description: White male, 21 years old
Clothing: Blue jeans, blue flannel shirt
Identifiers: Wearing handcuffs

Last Known Location: Fled westbound on foot from 40 West Main Street within the last hour.

Caution: Do not approach this subject. If seen, contact the Newark Police Department or the Licking County Sheriff's Office immediately.

Thank you to the volunteers of the Newark Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for taking in a record amount of prescription medication during the DEA National Drug Takeback Day! Thank your the Newark Kroger Marketplace for hosting and being a great partner!! Our group took in a total of 23 boxes weighing 443 pounds.
