I am incredibly grateful that during my campaign for Essex County Commissioner, I advocated for creating a countywide think tank to hear directly from the residents of every community. Today, I am encouraged to see those conversations beginning to happen.
While I may not have won the election, our campaign made an impact. We helped elevate the importance of listening to the people, engaging communities, and ensuring that every voice matters.
This is exactly the kind of result we were working toward. Progress isn't always measured by winning an election—sometimes it's measured by seeing good ideas take root and move our county forward.
Essex County deserves leadership that listens, collaborates, and acts. I remain committed to that vision, and I look forward to continuing to serve our communities in meaningful ways. Someone had to plant the seed and 21k residents voices were heard by the actions of one candidate’s vision for a stronger Essex County.
