Newaygo Fire Department The Newaygo Fire Department proudly services 56 square miles in Newaygo County. Our area is made up of residential inhabitants and resorts.

This includes all of Brooks Township, approximately sixty (60) percent of Garfield Township, and the City of Newaygo. We have wooded sections along with several lakes and streams. The change in seasons brings a variance in population due to the amount of retirees that live in our area and the large amount of tourists during that season. We are a small, modest, rural department comprised of 22 firefighters and we have one station. We provide fire suppression, rescue from heights, water rescue, and vehicle rescue. We also enjoy strong mutual aid relationships with all departments in the Newaygo County area. If you have any questions feel free to stop by the station or give us a call and one of our firefighters will be happy to assist you!

🚒 Supporting Our Local Fire Departments 🚒

At Jerry’s Towing & Recovery, we take great pride in supporting the fire departments in the communities we serve; especially those close to home where some of our own employees volunteer their time and serve their communities.

This week, we were proud to donate vehicles to the Newaygo Fire Department to support their training, including hands-on training with their new rescue struts and the application of the CAF foam system on their new fire engine with live fire training.

Training with real vehicles and equipment provides valuable hands-on experience that helps our local first responders prepare for the unexpected.

At Jerry’s, community matters. Supporting the departments, organizations, and people who serve our communities is one small way we can give back and help make a difference.

Thank you to the men and women of the Newaygo Fire Department for everything you do to protect our community! 🇺🇸🚒

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the members of the Newaygo Fire Department join our community and nation in honoring and remembering the 2,977 lives lost.

We pay special tribute to the 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, and 55 military personnel who answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. Their bravery, selflessness, and dedication to duty define the true spirit of service.

To all our first responders, service members, and families affected by that day: we stand with you, today and every day.
