Last week, CVMS honored our Students of the Month who exemplify collaboration. These students were recognized for their outstanding teamwork and ability to work well with others.

It’s Monday afternoon in Japan as I share this and we are at a close to our time here. The purpose of this sister school exchange is to create a better understanding of each other, our cultures and ways of life so we can work towards peace and prosperity. These students are the future and the more we can have them experience the world, the more they can make a positive impact on those around them.
Our stay was a memorable one thanks to all the amazing people of Asago City. We will be presenting our trip and what we learned to social studies classes at school, the city council, school board and the Newberg Rotary.
Although we’re anxious to get back to our families we are leaving a piece of our heart in Asago.
Thank you, Asago City, for the great memories. We look forward to hosting your students this summer.

Today, the Wadayama Delegates visited the mayor at city hall. It was a warm welcome by the mayor and a great experience for our students. Then, Wadayama Junior High, our sister school, welcomed us and we spent the day touring the building, helping in English classes and participated in after school clubs.
