We would like to thank Harps food stores, Inc., the new owner of Food Rite here in Newbern. They are putting on a company wide community fundraising campaign on June 1st and running through June 28th, benefiting local Fire and police departments across the communities they serve.

During this fundraiser, customers will have the opportunity to make donations at the checkout specifically designed for our departments, through a register scan card donation program with a goal of $2,500 for each department. Harps has already begun the fundraising with a $500 donation to our fire and police departments.

* We would like to invite our community to Food Rite on June 6th from 10 am - 2pm as we officially kick off this fundraising event. We will have fire trucks and police cars there for the kids ( or anyone who would like to tour our vehicles ) . Food Rite will be cooking some food and we plan to have a great time. So again , please come on out and support this event.*
