💛 A Beautiful Way to Honor Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton’s family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in her memory.

If you haven’t signed your children up to receive free books through the Imagination Library, now would be a wonderful time to do so. 📚💕

Help us honor Dolly’s incredible legacy by keeping her love of books and children alive. 📖✨

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth until they begin school in participating areas.

The library world has lost a true gem today. Dolly Parton was an icon and a fierce advocate for childhood literacy. We are saddened by the news of Dolly's passing, but will continue her work by advocating for childhood literacy in our own community.

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, not only a talented musician, but also a true titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library has received multiple Library of Congress Literacy Awards and, in 2018, Dolly visited us to donate the program’s 100 millionth book to our collection. She even hosted story time. 🦋❤️
