Every time you use water at home, at work, or at school, you’re relying on a team of trained professionals who run and maintain our water system. Operators, lab staff, maintenance crews, and engineers work around the clock, running treatment, collecting and analyzing samples, maintaining equipment, and completing upgrades that keep water moving throughout the community.

Water from the Saluda River is collected at our intake and conveyed to our treatment facility. From there, it goes through a series of careful steps - including removing contaminants and disinfecting - before it’s stored and then delivered through our distribution system to homes and businesses across the City of Newberry and surrounding areas.
