We want to wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July! As you celebrate our 250th anniversary of our independence, please celebrate responsibly, fireworks are not toys and please do not drink and drive. We hope you enjoy the firework show at the high school tonight. As is tradition for over 30+ years, several of our members have obtained the training and licenses to help shoot the fireworks for you, so by volunteering their time, it helps to make this show happen every year! Please say a prayer for their safety and have a great 4th!!

We are staffed and ready for winter storm Fern. Trucks, saws, and generators are fueled and ready. Personnel were on site at the shelter and helped get it setup and ready. The group has been fed and praying for a nice and uneventful evening. But if you need us we will be there!

The email for this would be [email protected]. Thank you in advance!!

Please join me in congratulating Jason Long as our 2025 Clarke Beck Award recipient. Jason is a long time member of the department who had chosen to retire and move to an Honorary member several years ago. Fast forward to about a year ago and Jason decided to come back to Active status and picked up right where he left off. For those who knew Deputy Chief Clarke Beck, he was a very active member who deeply loved his family and he treated the rescue squad and its members just like family. He served with distinction and gave his all, but unfortunately his life was cut short after a courageous battle with cancer. His memory lives on with in the department with the stories that are told and who he was and what he meant to this department each year when this award is given out. Congratulations again to Jason who definitely embodies so many of the qualities that Clarke demonstrated in his life during his time with us.
