As we wind down to the last day of National Nurses Week, we would like to take a moment to appreciate our Nursing Department Assistant, Michele Sanders. Michele has been employed at Newberry Disabilities & Special Needs Board for 22 YEARS!!!! Michele has been in a Direct Support role, Community Training Home supervisory role, and now assists the Nursing Department in more ways than we would be able to mention. We are incredibly grateful to the Ruth S. Pugh Foundation for their generous financial support in making this special night possible.

A big thank you to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer for allowing us to use their Fellowship Hall, Bill & Fran’s Restaurant for the delicious food, and DJ ET for keeping the dance floor alive all night long!

We also want to recognize our amazing staff for their hard work with setup and cleanup—this event wouldn’t have been possible without you! ❤️
