Itโs a great day to be a Newberry Panther! ๐พ
Here are the announcements for Tuesday, October 7th:
REMINDER: NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, students may not have food dropped off or delivered to them at campus. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or โto goโ cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Picture Day is TOMORROW for all 9th through 11th grade students. You can still pre-order photos online (https://swiphoto.com/underclass-prepay-2025-26/) or pay for them on picture day. SENIORS! This will be your last chance to take a senior portrait to be placed into this year's yearbook for any 12th grade student who has not already done so!
Interested in being on stage? Auditions for the NHS production of โThe Priceโ will be held after school today and tomorrow from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm. All are welcome! See Ms. Talkington for details.
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue this week after school (Monday through Thursday) in Computer Lab 2 from 3:15 pm until 6:15 pm. Please note we are not able to offer CROP sessions during the school day this year, so this will be the opportunity to earn replacement grades for credit deficiencies until we offer after school CROP sessions in spring, 2026 (dates to be determined). If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
The Debate Club will meet after school on Wednesday (October 15th) at 3:00 pm in the NHS Media Center.
ACPS is continuing its Beyond the Bell program, offering virtual after-school counseling and academic advising to help boost academic achievement and emotional wellness for students. For more information, visit: www.sbac.edu/BeyondTheBell.
We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther Way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com).
