PSA. The fire department with Central Maine Hose Testing will be conducting hose testing tomorrow morning at the fire station starting at 0700. We will have the station side of the town office driveway shut down with trucks park to ensure their readiness as the testing will be in our parking lot and front ramp.

Last week we trained on hoseline advancement and water application at our training site. We again thank the town for the support needed to get this building put together! It is extremely valuable to our training!!!

I would like to take a moment to recognize our EMS department staff for national EMS week. We have a very small crew of extemely dedicated people in our ranks without them our service would fail.

Of all weeks we’ve been reminded of the possible risks we’re exposed to as first responders. Our thoughts remain with the responders and their families from the the tragedies of the last week.

I am grateful for our crew of people and their unwavering dedication.

Penobscot County units staged at Newburgh Fire. The convoy is now off to Searsmont to support suppression efforts and provide some relief to crews who worked through the night at this incident. We are proud to be a part of this effort and support our neighbors. Thank you to all of these dedicated members! Also thank you to PRCC director Lavoie and Hermon Fire Chief Sullivan for coordinating the counties response south.

Last night Newburgh Fire trained on Search and Rescue at our training building. This is a vital building for improved hands on training which the crew is taking full advantage of.

As part of the EMS sustainability grant where we received a Lucas CPR device and payroll supplementation we also received 8 portable radios. Pictured below radios are the lifeline for our responders and this is a huge upgrade!! As always we’renhere for you!
