Yesterday, legislation proposed by Stephen Hunter - Orange County Legislator which received unanimous bipartisan support in committee last week — failed in special session. Unfortunately, the measure was blocked and voted against, despite the relief it would have delivered to our constituents.

We owe our loyalty to the people who elected us, not to political allies. We thank Legislator Hunter for his leadership and initiative, and we want our constituents to know: our caucus is working hard for you, and we will keep fighting for every measure of relief we can deliver.
