💦 GOOD NEWS — THE NEWCASTLE SPLASHPAD IS STILL OPEN! ☀️

Summer isn’t over just yet! There’s still time to cool off, make a few more memories, and enjoy the Newcastle Splashpad before we close it down for the season.

📅 Last Day: Monday, September 7
💦 The Splashpad will remain open through the end of the day.

🔧 Beginning Tuesday, September 8, our Parks crew will start the process of shutting down and winterizing the Splashpad for the season.

🚧 Trail Improvements at Veterans Park

Our Parks crew is currently working on improvements to the bollards along the Veterans Park walking trails. The work includes installing new concrete bases to help make the bollards more secure and improve safety throughout the park.

⚠️ As this work continues, sections of the walking trail may be temporarily closed. Please use caution around active work areas.

Work will be completed in phases. Crews are currently working on the trail around the library and Splash Pad. Once that area is complete, crews will move to the trail located south of 10th Street.

With more than 70 bollards to replace, we expect the work to take approximately 2–3 weeks to complete.

We appreciate your patience while our crew works to make these improvements!

Thank you to everyone that showed up to Puckett Park for our back to school chalk walk. And a huge shoutout to Community Bank Linda Eyler for sponsoring this fun event with chalk! We will see you all September 21st for our Next Pop Up in the Park!
