I became a licensed rehabber in 1996. My love of animals in general and passion for wild animals brought me to wanting to help them. I trained and studied in 1995 under several licensed rehabbers including Gail Walton, Sue Ryan, Lisa Gibson, Vicky Giese and Kay Johnson with K.A.R.E. for Wildlife back then and I’ve helped saved many wild animals. I have worked with everything from squirrels, raccoons, and other small animals to fox and deer. Originally, I was located in Maple Park. Lowe’s den moved from Maple Park to a farm in Sycamore in 2000. Between horses and showing, I cut back on my wildlife rehabbing for a few years and then returned back to it. Lowe’s den is now located near Genoa IL.
