PA law requires everyone under the age of 12 to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle.

But, just like a seat belt protects you in a vehicle, a helmet protects you while bicycling.

Don’t skip that life-saving piece of equipment. No matter your age – always wear a helmet.

And make sure it fits – get info and steps on how to check for a proper fit at NHTSA.gov/bicycles.

Newell Borough has heard a lot of complaints about recycling being dumped in the regular garbage truck and with the increase in the trash bills and contract almost up council has decided to partner with Fayette County and get a dumpster for Recyclable materials ONLY!
The dumpster is monitored 24/7 by cameras so please don’t try to dump anything that is not supposed to be in it. The County will not hesitate t remove it, then we will be back to square 1. This dumpster is of no charge to the borough and allows you the opportunity to dump your recyclables as often as you like not just collect for monthly pickups.
Yes for now it is parked on the helicopter pad because it can’t be used with the wires being so close. Until we get this issue fixed we will utilize this pad. Hopefully once the weather breaks we can figure a more permanent spot.
Thank you
