Last night just after 8 pm Newfields fire was requested auto matic to the town of Newmarket for a structure fire. Newfields Engine 3 with a crew of 5 assisted with fire suppression and water supply for hand lines and ladder pipe operations. The fire eventually went to 3 alarms bringing in multiple departments from the area.

As of 12 pm today the statewide burn ban has been lifted. Burn permits are required for any outside fires.

State wide ban on all outside burning ( campgrounds exempt) per Governor, until further notice. Anyone caught burning could be subject to a $2000 fine. Stand by for future announcements.

08/30/2025

Update on burn ban, as of 8/30/2025 burn permits will not be issued, however fire pits and chiminea will be allowed. Please be cautious as it is still very dry in wooded areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
