Newington EMS

Newington EMS Newington EMS is the primary EMS service for the town of Newington and serves the town by responding

To better care for the citizens of Newington, the Newington Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1969. Originally staffed by a handful of people, a converted fire station, and used ambulance, the Corps has served the town of Newington to this day. The current roster of approximately 50 people, 4 active ambulances, and a staff services vehicle, all work out of our modern headquarters located behind the Market Square plaza on John Stewart Drive.

This morning, Newington EMS along with Newington Police Department and Newington fire came together for Prom Promise for the senior class.

This program serves as an important reminder about the dangers and life changing consequences of drinking and driving. During the demonstration, emergency crews responded to a mock crash scenario where a patient had to be extricated from the vehicle, giving students a realistic look at what first responders face during these incidents.

We hope the seniors at Newington High school have a great prom this evening and remember one decision can change lives forever.

At the beginning of last year, NEMS β€” along with several other first responders β€” donated our patches to a brave young girl in our community who is battling a rare birth defect called cloacal exstrophy. She used those patches to decorate her hospital room as she recovered from surgery, drawing strength from the support of her hometown heroes.

The other night, Newington EMS, Newington Police Department, and Newington Fire Department had the incredible privilege of escorting Hailey home from the hospital. πŸ’™πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš’

Welcome home, Hailey! Your strength inspires all of us, and we are so proud to stand beside you and your family every step of the way. Hope for Hailey
