You've heard about the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange improvement project in Meriden, right?

WELL, we have an important update for you! Starting WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, a new exit ramp is opening, Exit 64A, which will help reduce weaving and congestion. This exit will take you from Route 15 northbound to I-91 northbound, just south of the interchange.

But don't worry if you miss the exit! The existing ramp will still be in place, so you have another option to get to I-91 northbound.
Questions?

Here's more information: https://i-91i-691route15interchange.com/opening-of-new-exit-64a-ramp-from-route-15-nb-to-i-91-nb-in-meriden/

Remember to slow down, remain vigilant, and pay attention to the signs as you approach the exit and interchange.

We're excited to announce the completion of the Meriden Research Parkway Linear Trail!

This 2.4-mile trail, stretching from East Main Street in Meriden to the Wallingford town border, is open for everyone to walk, bike, and roll. It's a great way to get outside, exercise, and connect with the community!

Thank you to our federal, state, and local partners for working on this project and increasing connectivity in Meriden.

Today, we celebrated the installation of 21 new bus shelters in Hartford! This project, completed in partnership between CTDOT and the city of Hartford, will make public transportation more comfortable and accessible for riders.

And we’re not stopping there. Another 47 bus shelters are planned in Hartford, giving riders more protection from the sun, rain and snow, along with seating and real-time information signs.

Thank you to our partners at the city of Hartford and across the state for helping us improve the experience for Connecticut’s transit riders

Every year, emergency and law enforcement personnel respond to 100,000 motor vehicle crashes on roadways in Connecticut alone.

If you see a person or vehicle on the side of the road, SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER.

With school starting up soon it's important to remember there will be students walking, biking, and rolling on our roads and sidewalks. Keep an eye out for them, drive slow, and be prepared to stop for students crossing the road and when the school bus stop sign is out.
