Our Giving Garden is growing! 🌱 We extend our sincere thanks to the 12 members of the NHS Outdoor Track Team and Coach Jen Emord who volunteered their time and energy on June 2 to help improve our Giving Garden by building three new accessible raised garden beds.

After a brief overview of the project (and a few snacks), the team quickly got to work. Within minutes, the students had organized themselves into an efficient system for laying out, placing, and securing the concrete pavers. Their teamwork, energy and positive attitudes were truly impressive. Watching them work so cohesively, it was easy to see why the team has had such a successful year! In the days following, our garden volunteers planted the beds with tomatoes, peppers, squash, and cucumbers.

We can’t thank the students enough for their hard work. Because of their efforts, we’ll be able to provide even more fresh, nutritious food to folks throughout our community. Thank you to athletes: Ashley, Grace, Kenna, Isla, Jonny, Gabby, Lacie, Amelia, Isaac, Matthew, Alvaro and Nicole and Giving Garden volunteers Karen and Carol!
