Newington Public Schools kicked off the 2026–27 school year this morning with its annual Convocation, a wonderful celebration of the educators and staff who make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

The event concluded with an inspiring address from former U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona.

The NRTC congratulates all of our educators and support staff and wishes everyone a successful and rewarding school year!

A special congratulations goes to Newington’s own:
