The smell of brewing coffee drifts through the cabin as you admire the natural, God-given world and the blessings of a new day. Grandfather Mountain is open year round and features excellent hiking trails, a wildlife habitat, and the famous “Mile High Swinging Bridge.”

Linville Falls and Linville Gorge provide natural beauty in all seasons along with hiking and trout fishing. Gylen is located in a private, secluded location, yet close to most major attractions: 4 miles to Linville, 4 miles to Newland, 6 miles to Grandfather Mountain, 7 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 17 miles to Linville Falls, 19 miles to Blowing Rock, and 20 miles to Boone.
