The City Council agreed tonight that continuing and upcoming expenses (including additional needed roof repairs) make completion of the kitchen and dining room unaffordable. These rooms, along with the third classroom in the southeast corner of the building, are now being considered by the City for remodeling into long-term office leased space. A proposed lease is being considered at this time.

The Center is also now attended regularly by cleaning staff -- welcome Cork Goby!
Also wanted to share some photos of the new fridge in the Rec Room, the parking bumpers, and what the new lights look like in the main hallway. Enjoy!

Whew! It’s a been a while! Let's look at some Center “happenings.”
• A refrigerator has been added to the Rec Room.
• Parking bumpers have been added to the west side of the building, that should help in maintaining a clear walkway for pedestrians on the sidewalk.
• The Red Cross is interested in the Center becoming designated as an Emergency Center.
• Repairs to the rain-damaged rooms in the southeast end of the building have been completed, and the east wall of the gym has been repainted for the same reason.
• Lights are being changed out to LED throughout the building, a few at a time.
• The girls lockerroom shower heads have been cleaned, and the bathroom faucets are also now performing better.
• Changes to the gym rental have taken place – there is now a $250 cleanup deposit required for gym rentals (returned if no clean-up is needed).
• Refurbishing continues in the southeast room of the Center.
