PUBLIC NOTICE - HYDRANT FLUSHING
Beginning April 23, 2024
Environmental Services personnel will be flushing hydrants in Newmarket, beginning April 23, 2024, as part of required routine maintenance to remove sediment from water distribution pipes. This process maintains water quality, clarity, and checks water pressure. Flushing will be completed during daytime hours.
Water customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water when hydrant flushing occurs in their area. If discoloration occurs, customers are advised to run their tap water on cold until the water runs clear. Residents should avoid doing laundry during scheduled flushing times. Your patience and cooperation regarding this routine system maintenance is appreciated. You may call the Environmental Services Division at 603-659-8810 to find out when the flushing work will be in your area.
May 1st & May 2nd Wadleigh Falls Rd, Grant Rd and Briallia Circle.
May 6th No Flushing.
May 7th - 9th weather permitting Durell Dr, Kimball Way, Edwin Lane, Huckins Dr.

Today August 22, 2023 The Water Department will be around town flushing/flow testing hydrants. This may cause temporary reduced water pressure and discoloration. Discoloration can be alleviated by running taps. Sorry for any inconvenience.
