IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

On August 31st at approximately 6:39 p.m., officers with Newnan Police Department responded to Ball Street in Newnan regarding a 911 call for an assault with injuries. Officers determined that there was a physical altercation where a 14 year old female was struck in the head with a golf club. The 14 year old female has been taken to an Atlanta area hospital for treatment. Newnan Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit was requested at the scene. Newnan Police has made several arrests in this case. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the Newnan Police Department at 770-254-2355. Further updates will be provided at a later time.
