Our Community & Human Resources Department (CHR) is hiring for a Human Resources Assistant - Benefits Focus!

Some of the responsibilities include:
📂 Collaborates with Benefits Manager to maintain benefits files and HRIS records, including employee enrollments and life status changes
🎉 Assists in planning and ex*****on of employee activities while meeting deadlines and budgets
📝 Provides backup for the Human Resource Generalist and Benefits Manager during new employee onboarding, ensuring accuracy in document processing and reporting to state agencies
📞 Serves as first point of contact for employees, covered dependents, applicants and retirees who seek information or have questions related to CHR

Are you diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or are you prediabetic?

Through a partnership with Piedmont Newnan, Olivia Handley from the UGA Extension Coweta County Office is offering a free monthly diabetes support group program from June through December 2026! It provides participants who are looking to improve their diabetic condition with sessions covering:

🥦 Healthy eating
🏋️‍♂️ Physical activity
🍽 Use of the Diabetic Meal Plate
☺ Positive group atmosphere

The classes will be held on the third Tuesday of each month from June through December 2026 on the following dates:

📆 July 21
📆 August 18
📆 September 15
📆 October 20
📆 November 17
📆 December 15

All classes will meet from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas F. Chapman Family Cancer Wellness Center, located at 775 Poplar Road, Suite 340 in Newnan (Piedmont Medical Plaza, 3rd Floor).

🏗️ Supervising development inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and relevant local, state and federal regulations
