Since the beginning of the Ukraine-Russia war, thousands of children have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety. Many have ended up living in refugee camps, where they face a range of dangers, including malnutrition, disease, and exploitation.

This situation is particularly tragic because children are the most vulnerable members of society. They need food, shelter, and medical care to survive, and they deserve to live in a safe and secure environment. 💔 😔

MEDICAL MISSION IN NEPAL 2011
It's been 11 years since our mission in Lantang, Nepal, but the memory of it is still vivid and new, so we'd like to give you a short rundown of what happened as a Center for Global Change there. To see lots of the highlights, the events, the challenges, and - perhaps most significantly - the smiles on people we assist regain their confidence.

Are you ready to change the world? Or do you just need a change of pace? come with us to Haiti and redefine what success means in this world.

Haiti has long been the poorest country in the western hemisphere. In a country with few building inspectors and poor construction techniques, it was only a matter of time before tragedy struck. When that tragedy appeared in the form of the January 2010 earthquake, the results were devastating. Thou...

Volunteers needed for our Dental outreach in Vietnam next month!!!! Please read this, share this, post this, email this, and or tweet this.

As many of you may know, Debbie and I volunteer annually in a third world country to help the children and people that unable help themselves. Most of them have never received medical or dental treatment, often they are blind, deaf, and or orphans. We have had many successful trips over the years and treated over 3000 patients in the most remote locations fathomable.

Our partner Rescue Humanity, has organized an amazing trip this year on May 14th we will begin our journey to Kontum, Vietnam. This is a fairly remote village near the border of Laos and Cambodia. Also an important city in Vietnam history; that I will expand on at the end of this post.

My reason for writing this today is that we are really short on volunteers this year. Any volunteer is of immense help, however we are especially in need of Dentists and Hygienists. I know this is short notice and for that I apologize.

My promise to you is simple… on this trip YOU will change lives. Imagine for a minute being a parent of a child in pain without the ability to take that pain away? Imagine an orphan with a debilitating disease who has lost all hope? With your help we can change this and make a lasting impact on their lives. I wish I could explain the impact this would have on you personally. I wish I could put in words or in pictures the pure joy you will experience when you look into these children’s faces.

I realize that our lives are crazy, that our jobs are suffocating, and that with the stress of family and financial pressures it is hard to imagine taking the time for something like this.

Most of you are aware that I have a fairly busy schedule and I can assure you that every time I leave for one of these trips, the world conspires against me. My fears, work, and stress constantly remind me that if I go there will be nothing for me to come back too. Once I am there, something in me changes; I realize that the world will keep on spinning without me back home. Most importantly when I return home every stress, every perceived problem that I felt has gone and I realize that I really have no problems. I am healthy with an amazing family and the best friends in the world. I have a great life, live in a great country and I am more thankful at that moment then I ever felt possible.

If you or anyone you know is looking to make a difference, we could use your help. I understand that for some of you it is not realistic to make the journey at such late notice. It’s just impossible to peel away a week or two so if that is the case it would be a huge help if you would consider a small donation.

We are a small charity group, we pay our own way, and there are no administrative costs or waste in our organizations. All money donated goes directly to the cause.

For a complete schedule and more information, to sign up and volunteer, or to make a donation no matter how small please click this link.

History of the area where our camp will be this year.

Kontum is located inland in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam, near the borders with Laos and Cambodia. On March 30, 1972, the Army of North Vietnam (NVA) invaded South Vietnam. The battle that had been in the making for years had finally begun. The enemy opened three major fronts. One of those was in II Corps where two North Vietnamese Armored divisions tried to capture the provincial capital of Kontum.

Thank You,

Aaron and Debbie Cuha

A volunteer trip abroad with Cross-Cultural Solutions will change you. Change the way you see other cultures. Maybe even change how you live your life. All while you change the lives of others for the better. Ultimately we’re changing the way volunteering is done, making it a safe, exciting adventur…

Hello Everyone!

I am heading for Nepal again on Wednesday to meet with the new Board of Directors for the Rainbow House and they have a couple requests.

Below is what they need and any help would be greatly appreciated. I will send pictures as we get the items and have the kids write you a handwritten than you notes to show their appreciation.

1. Two new computers the old one died. I am going to set up a special study area for them with Skype while I am there. So if you can help with this (even if you don't) I will have the kids Skype you to thank you if you like.

2. They need some New School Clothes, t-shirts, pants, dress shirts…

3. New Bed Covers (15 beds)

4. Sofa Cover (2 sofas)

All in it is probably about $2000 total for everything on this list. We of course have many other bills (rent, staff, food, utilities) that I will be taking care of while there so every dollar helps. I just find it is always better to have a specific item that you all can help with so you can see it purchased and put to use in pictures.

On a side note let me know if anyone is interested in sponsoring on of the kids for school. Their tuition is coming up again and we could really use the support this is our big ticket item every year and couldn’t do it without all of you. The school is about $50 per month, per child, but that includes the bus, meals, books, etc… Reach out to me personally if interested and we can talk or if you like there is a spot on the website for a monthly donation.
