What a huge loss for the Peninsula community. Angelo probably fed a million people over his long career, and every one of them got a smile at no extra charge.
He and his entire family are in our prayers.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Angelo.
His dedication, kindness, and passion helped shape not only this restaurant, but also the family behind it. He touched the lives of so many staff, guests, friends, and community members over the years, and his presence will be deeply missed every single day.
We are grateful for the memories, laughter, guidance, and love he gave so freely. His legacy will continue through all of us and through the place he worked so hard to build.
Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

It’s been five years since Virginia abolished capital punishment. It was a joyful moment today to celebrate that victory with many of the people who made it happen.

“Cookie” Heard was one of my favorite people in Williamsburg. She was an activist, a community leader, and drove the coolest car in town. I miss her every day.
So happy to see her being celebrated in the Virginia House of Delegates by Delegate Jessica Anderson and her friends & family.
