USS BOISE Change of Command 2025!

Today we honor the service and leadership of Commander Ahaus, who is being officially relieved of command. His dedication, vision, and commitment to the mission have left a lasting impact on our team and the community we serve.

As we mark this change of command, we extend our deepest appreciation for his guidance and professionalism. We wish him continued success in all future endeavors.

Our XO, EDMC, and Boise native MMN1 are “Riding for the brand” on their trip visiting Boise, ID!

The USS Boise, a nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine, is the second U.S. Navy ship to be named for Idaho's capital city.

Happy 246th Navy Birthday! Thanks to CS division for making this amazing cake for the crew… layers of brownie, cookie, chocolate cake, all with coffee butter cream frosting and drizzled with chocolate!

Our long time supporter, the “First Lady” of USS BOISE who Christened our ship, Mrs. Louise McClure passed away. Here is a story about her:

Good evening Boise friends and family, giving you an update on the pictures for your Sailor's awards and achievements that you may be waiting for. Unfortunately in the current shipyard environment all photos we take on installation must get submitted to security for review and approval prior to us getting authorization for release. This has led to some photos being denied and the process taking longer than expected. So if you don't see them we either didn't get authorization or we are waiting on approval still. Bear with us as we work to get them approved and posted!
