Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a Commander’s Program and a Soldier’s responsibility. TAP provides information and training to ensure transitioning Soldiers, Department of the Army (DA) Civilians, Retirees, Soldiers’ Family members and Caregivers are prepared for their next step in life - whether pursuing additional education, finding a job in the public or private sector, or starting their

own business. The mandatory components of TAP are applicable for all service members who have at least 180 continuous days or more on active duty; this includes National Guard and Reserve serving on Title 10 status.

The U.S. Army Transition Assistance Program invites you to join the TAP Townhall on 20 May from 1300–1500 as we discuss several important topics that can directly impact a successful transition from military service.

During this Townhall, we will provide an overview of the Transitioning Servicemember and Counselors Reporting System (TSCRS), including how it supports Soldiers and counselors throughout the transition process. We will also discuss the Army Career Skills Program (CSP)/SkillBridge program and how these opportunities can help Soldiers gain valuable civilian work experience, industry-recognized credentials, and stronger employment opportunities before separation.

In addition, we will highlight the TAP Virtual Center and the support it provides to Soldiers who are located more than 50 miles from a TAP Center. The Virtual Center ensures Soldiers can still access TAP services, counseling, classes, and resources no matter where they are located, helping every Soldier stay on track for a successful transition.
