Happy Banana Split Day!

Happy Banana Split Day!

🍌TODAY IS NATIONAL BANANA SPLIT DAY! 🍨

And we're splitting something else today:

👀WATCH vs. WARNING.⚠️

Think of it like ordering a banana split…

👀 WATCH:
The ingredients are on the table. Conditions are right, and something could happen.
👉 Be prepared. Have a plan. Stay informed.

🚨 WARNING:
The banana split is happening. The threat is occurring or imminent.
👉 TAKE ACTION.

A WATCH means severe weather is possible. A WARNING means it's time to act. The National Weather Service recommends being prepared to take action when a watch is issued and taking protective action when a warning is issued.

So today, enjoy the banana split. 🍌🍨

But when it comes to severe weather, remember:
WATCH = All the ingredients are there for severe weather - Be Ready.
WARNING = Severe weather is currently happening - Take Action.

Don't wait until the cherry is on top to make your emergency plan. 😉
