In February, 2026, the Newport Police Department received a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding suspected online sexual exploitation of a minor using the MeetMe application.
Investigators used digital forensic techniques to geolocate the suspected activities to the apartment building at 32 Spring Street in Newport, and identified a possible suspect in these activities as:
Madison ALDRICH
Age 20
Newport, NH
Investigators made contact with ALDRICH at her residence and seized electronic devices for forensic analysis. After the forensic examination was complete, ALDRICH was arrested on February 10, 2026, for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Images, a Class A Felony. She was held at the Sullivan County House of Corrections without bail pending arraignment in the 5th Circuit Court – District Division – Newport. Following that hearing, the court ordered ALDRICH to continue to be held on preventive detention without bail.
Further investigation revealed an additional suspect related to these activities located in the state of Vermont. The Newport Police Department worked collaboratively with the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, resulting in the arrest of:
Alexander HENRY
Wells, VT
HENRY was charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Promoting a Recording of Sexual Conduct. For further information about HENRY’s arrest, please contact the Vermont Attorney General’s Office.
The Newport Police Department is an affiliate agency of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Through the ICAC task force, the Newport Police Department receives assistance from other local, county, state and federal law enforcement partners, including the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Lincoln Police Department Cyber Crimes Laboratory.
