What a difference! The new track at Newport High School is complete! These before-and-after drone photos from Jon Zagel show the transformation made possible through the voter-approved 2025 bond. The approximately 30-year-old track received a full replacement, including removal of the existing surface down to the asphalt base and installation of a new track surface.
Thank you to Lincoln County voters for investing in facilities that will serve our students and community for years to come.

Our partners at the Oregon Coast Aquarium once again welcomed LCSD staff and their families for a special back-to-school event. New and returning staff had the opportunity to connect with colleagues, explore the Aquarium and even take part in behind-the-scenes tours.

Thank you, Oregon Coast Aquarium, for supporting LCSD staff and helping us start the year on a great note!

This information is shared on behalf of a partner organization. New Visions Arts will present The Outsiders, a coming-of-age story about Ponyboy Curtis who is caught in a rivalry between two 1060's street gangs. Shows are at the Newport Performing Arts Center Fridays and Saturdays, August 21-30 at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 27, is "Arts for All" night where patrons pay what they can.

Tickets are $30, $25 for seniors, $15 for students. Call 541.265.2782 or go to coastarts.org for more information or to purchase tickets.
