We are hiring for two program officer positions!

The Foundation is staffed by a small, dedicated team of professionals in a supportive, high performing culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and collegiality. We seek to fill one vacant program officer position as well as a newly created position. The program officers report to the Executive Director, who also carries grants across the Foundation’s four portfolios. The program officers will help build and manage the grants pipeline, maintain communications with our grant partners, and articulate to our board and external partners what we learn from the initiatives we support. Terrific grant opportunity from Rhode Island Foundation's Fund For a Healthy Rhode Island

For 2018, we welcome proposals to improve the health of communities with high rates of illness, chronic disease, or other adverse health outcomes. We seek place-based initiatives that bring together clinical organizations, community-based agencies, and community members to implement a shared vision and action plan to address social determinants of health and improve the health of their community.

The Fund for a Healthy Rhode Island was established in 2007 as part of a settlement between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island and the U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island.
