Hola,
Veronica

💚 June is PTSD Awareness Month 💚

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects millions of people, including children, teens, adults, first responders, veterans, survivors of violence, and anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event.

PTSD is more than a reaction to stress—it is a real mental health condition that can impact daily life, relationships, sleep, and overall well-being. Recovery is possible, and support is available.

This month, the Newport Police Department encourages our community to:
✔ Learn the signs and symptoms of PTSD
✔ Support those who may be struggling
✔ Reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and trauma
✔ Share resources and encourage people to seek help when needed

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 for immediate support.

Together, we can build a stronger, more understanding community where no one feels alone in their journey toward healing.

The Newport Police Department Honor Guard was proud to represent our agency and community at tonight’s Cincinnati Reds game.

Our Honor Guard had the privilege of participating in the pregame ceremonies, honoring our nation, our flag, and all those who serve. Moments like these remind us of the strong connection between public service and the communities we are honored to protect.

Thank you to the Cincinnati Reds for the opportunity and to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special occasion. We are proud to represent Newport both on and off the field.

Today, members of the Newport Police Department were honored to participate in Newport’s Memorial Day Parade as our community came together to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day. We are grateful to all who attended the parade and joined us in honoring our fallen heroes.

As we spend time with family and friends, let us never forget the true meaning of this day and the sacrifices made by so many for our nation.

🇺🇸 All gave some. Some gave all. May we always remember and honor the fallen. 🇺🇸
