I’ve been hearing this a lot lately.

“I live out in the county, so I can’t vote for you.”

Yes. You. Can.

Campbell County Commissioner is a countywide race. One simple question determines if you can vote for me:

Will you be a registered voter in Campbell County on November 3rd?

That’s it.

Camp Springs? YES.
Newport? YES.
Alexandria? YES.
California? YES.
Fort Thomas? YES.
Democrat? Republican? Independent?
YES. YES. YES.

If Campbell County is your home, this race is yours too.

2nd festival tonight - Concert in the Park series in Bellevue!

Campbell County is one place made up of many places. All unique. All important.

Learning starts with listening, and listening starts with showing up.

Nothing happens if you do nothing.

Gorgeous night in Camp Springs tonight for the St. Joseph Parish Festival.

No speeches. No agenda.

Just fun, good food, good people, and a chance to catch up with neighbors.

People notice when you show up, and I always appreciate the conversations.

Have a great weekend, Campbell County.

St Joe’s festival in Camp Springs tonight. We’re planning on a 6-6:30 arrival, eat some festival food, have a beer or two, hang around for 90 minutes or so and then call it an evening.

We’d love to see some friends there!

Summer wedding tonight. If you don’t wear your pink suit to a summer wedding, when would you wear it?

I'm honored to receive the endorsement of the National Democratic County Officials.

What matters most to me isn't a national endorsement. It's earning the trust of the people who call Campbell County home.

Since launching this campaign, I've spent my time doing what I believe a commissioner should do: showing up. City council meetings. Community events. Neighborhood gatherings. Listening more than talking.

Campbell County deserves more than the bare minimum. It deserves leaders who are present, engaged, and willing to do the work.

I'm grateful for the support, and I'm excited about what we're building together.

Nothing happens if you do nothing.

The National Democratic County Officials are proud to endorse Brant Owens for Campbell County, KY Commissioner. Brant Owens for Campbell County Commissioner

I received the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction.

To be clear, this is NOT an endorsement.

Some of my beliefs aligned with Moms Demand Action’s positions. Some did not.

And that’s okay.

If we all agree on everything, someone is probably missing something important.

That’s one reason I’ve never been interested in being a rubber stamp.

Last night was a pretty good snapshot of this campaign.

A jacket and tie in Cold Spring. A little later that evening, campaign t-shirt at Newport Italianfest.

Different audiences. Different conversations. Same reason for being there.

Showing up.

A few years ago, I thought community leaders were "other people."

Then Kellye and I started volunteering and attending local events. The more we showed up, the more people we met. The more people we met, the more opportunities we found to help. The more we helped, the more connected we felt to our community.

Funny how that works.

So whether it's a candidate forum, a city council meeting, a tree planting, a parade, or a festival, I try to be there.

Because nothing happens if you do nothing.

And because showing up still matters.

I noticed something at NKY Pride on Sunday.

Where there was shade, people gathered. Where there wasn’t, the sidewalks were empty.

Nobody organized it. No signs, no announcements. People just moved toward comfort. On a hot June day, shade is the difference between a livable street and one people abandon.

Campbell County summers are getting longer and hotter. Energy bills are climbing. And we treat tree canopy like decoration.

It’s not. It’s infrastructure.

A mature street tree cools the air, cuts stormwater runoff, and lowers energy costs for nearby homes and businesses.

County government can’t lower the price of energy. But it can help lower demand.

That’s a real return on a real investment.

Campbell County should be planting, protecting, and planning for the trees that will serve residents 20 and 30 years from now. The window to act is always earlier than you think. A tree planted today takes years to deliver its full benefit.

The people at Pride showed us exactly why it matters.

They voted with their feet.
