This evening’s training focused on pumping and drafting apparatus operations. The department extends its appreciation to LaValley Building Supply and Ryan Palmer for providing access to their facility as a draft site. Pumping operations remain a critical component of fireground effectiveness, and developing confidence in these skills is achieved through consistent, hands‑on training.
Members participated in practical evolutions involving establishing a draft, operating pumps under varying conditions, and reinforcing proper procedures for sustained water supply. Their continued commitment to training strengthens overall operational readiness and enhances the department’s capability to serve the community.
The department acknowledges and thanks all members who dedicated their time and effort to improving both the organization and their individual proficiency.

A press release from our second alarm outside fire yesterday.

Chief Yannuzzi would like to emphasize the importance of calling 9-1-1 for all emergencies. Recently we have had an increase in people calling the firehouse direct to report emergency calls. Our department is staffed 24 hours a day however, crews are not always at the station.

With the outside fire season upon us, it is important to obtain fire permits. This is a mandate by the State of NH Forest and Lands.
