𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Campbell County Emergency Management will conduct its monthly outdoor warning siren test on 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟮 𝗽.𝗺.

The sirens will sound as part of the scheduled monthly test unless severe weather is present in the area at the time. At this time, no inclement weather is forecast.

Regular testing helps ensure the county's outdoor warning siren system is operating properly and ready to alert residents during emergencies.

No action is needed during the scheduled test.

PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
A Public Hearing and regular meeting of the Campbell County Fiscal Court will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET (8:00 AM CT), Campbell County Courthouse, 8352 East Main Street, Alexandria, Kentucky.

The Campbell County Fiscal Court will make all reasonable efforts to livestream the meeting on the Campbell Media website. The livestream is provided strictly as a courtesy, and the Fiscal Court meeting will still occur in the event of technical difficulties with the livestream. Public comment is not accepted via the livestream and must either be made in person or emailed to [email protected] by 4:00 PM ET (3:00 PM CT) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Any video recording of the meeting will be available for viewing on Campbell Media's website.

The Campbell County Fiscal Court will make every reasonable accommodation to assist qualified disabled persons and persons with limited English proficiency (LEP) in accessing available services, or in attending Fiscal Court activities. If there is a need for the Fiscal Court to be aware of a specific requirement, you are encouraged to contact this agency at 859-547-1803 prior to the activity so that suitable arrangements can be considered for delivery of the service.

With extremely high temperatures and heat index values forecast for our area this week, Campbell County is opening Cooling Centers to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat.

Stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, and check on older adults, neighbors, family members, and others who may be especially vulnerable to extreme heat.

If you do not have access to air conditioning or need a place to cool down, please take advantage of one of these locations during their normal operating hours.

𝗜𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆?

The Campbell County Office of Emergency Management is offering free tabletop exercises for houses of worship to help organizations review their emergency plans and prepare their teams to respond when something goes wrong.

During an exercise, participants will work through a simulated emergency scenario with Campbell County Emergency Management. The process can help your organization review its emergency plan, test communication procedures, coordinate with first responders and identify gaps before an actual emergency occurs.

There is no cost to participate, and exercises can be scheduled for your organization.

𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗸𝘆 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗳?

Campbell County’s Fall Cleanup is Oct. 9 and 10, giving residents an opportunity to clear out unwanted items and dispose of them at three convenient locations across the county.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, residents can drop off furniture, mattresses, yard debris, trash and electronics. The Campbell County Road Department location will also accept appliances, scrap metal, lead-acid batteries, propane tanks and up to eight tires.

Citizens’ Academy gives Campbell County residents and business owners a behind-the-scenes look at county government. Participants meet the people behind county services, tour facilities, see equipment and operations firsthand, and learn how decisions are made and tax dollars are put to work.

The program is free and limited to 25 participants. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 31, and meet Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at various locations throughout Campbell County.
