The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office hosted it’s 1st Kid’s Camp. 20 students were selected to participate across all county schools from grades 6-8. Due to the volume of fun and pictures taken, we are going to break the postings down by days of the camp. We want to thank the team from Tennessee State Bank for sponsoring the food for our final day. The fifth day of camp, the kids traveled to Major Burnett Drive at the armory to participate in field day and the graduation. We want to extend our appreciation to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, TWRA, THP, Sevierville City Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Departments, and Rescue Squad for joining us for today’s event. The kids were so excited to see them. After field day, and lunch, our first class graduated. Each kid received a medallion, challenge coin, certificate, 2 shirts, and a cupcake made by Tabitha Hartsell. We really want to thank our staff at the Sheriff’s office especially the SRO’s for working hard to make this a success. Several of our employees participated in this camp and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to our kids. We want to thank the Cocke County School System and bus garage for allowing us to use their facilities and transportation during this weeks events. We want to thank everyone that supported and sponsored this camp. We want to thank our students of the first class for their hard work during this week and how well they behaved each day. Such a great group of students. We also want to thank the parents for allowing their kids to participate this week. Could have not done it without them. We look forward to the 2nd annual Kids Camp next year.
