It's May. It's Monday. IT'S MAX MONDAYS IN MAY!! 🤩

Each week in May, we highlight the work (and play) of our favorite crime-fighting pupperino, K-9 Max, for .

Max is quite experienced these days! Max partnered up with Investigator Hinton when Max was just over 1 year old. Now, he's 5. They worked tirelessly early on to master the basics, and while they continue to train those skills, they've added in new ones. They recreate scenarios with increasing difficulty to test Max's problem solving. His growth and increased confidence allow him to solve issues without help. Those building blocks help him as he navigates more complex scenarios, making for a well prepared K-9 duo.

Off the clock, Max is still a dog at heart. He's always full throttle, wanting to be doing something, especially with his best bud Hinton. They love playing in the backyard, and some simple obedience training keeps Max's skills sharp.

While Max is the goodest boy and brings smiles to staff, he's an extremely valuable asset to the work of our office. We'll be highlighting some of his work and accomplishments as rolls along!

We'll be conducting a DUI check lane this weekend in Harvey County.

Driving under the influence puts not only the driver in danger, but also increases risks for passengers, pedestrians and other drivers sharing the road. The check lane allows us to educate drivers on the dangers of intoxicated driving, and remove any driver from the road who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The check lane will begin Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning. It is done in coordination with the Kansas Highway Patrol and other local law enforcement partners.

Perfect your craft! There’s always work to be done!
